These will rock your treat world! They are so yummy and basically have three ingredients: oats, walnuts, and raisins with a dash of butter. This isĀ one of my all-time favorite treats. Give them a try and let me know what you think.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup
Organic whole oat flour or whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1 Cup
    Rolled oats
  • 1/2 Teaspoon
    Sea salt
  • 1/4 Cup
    Melted butter or oil
  • 1 1/4 Cup
    Finely chopped raisins
  • 1 Cup
    Chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 Cup
    Water

Instructions

  1. Assemble your ingredients.

  2. Mix flour, oats, salt, and melted butter.

Mix dry ingredients with melted butter.
  3. Finely chop the raisins. I like to use a knife because the bits of raisins don't clump together as much as if you use a food processor. But I have used both with success.

  4. Chop walnuts in the food processor and add chopped raisins and walnuts to the flour mixture.

    Chopped raisins and walnuts.
  5. Add 1/2 cup water and mix throughly.

    All ingredients mixed throughly
  6. Press mixture into buttered baking dish and cut into squares BEFORE baking.

  7. Bake at 325 for 30 minutes, until they are just starting to get golden brown at the edges.

  8. Enjoy!

And please let me know what you think of them, if you like how the recipe is laid out, if you'd like more pictures? Fewer pictures? Is the recipe easy to follow?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

    Best wishes and happy baking!
