1 Minute Mango Licorice

This may be the easiest and certainly one of the healthiest treats around. If you find yourself craving that chewy sweet experience of a piece of licorice this just might satisfy your craving and save you from eating all that red dye, sugar, and chemicals. Cutting them into thin strips somehow just makes them taste better. You can keep them in a fancy jar at home or stick them in a desk drawer at work!

Spoil yourself or your Valentine with these breathtaking little gems. They are loaded with immune boosting almonds,  organic oats, healthy fats, and just a touch of real maple syrup.  Make them this weekend and slide them in the freezer . Then you can pull them out on Valentine’s Day and surprise a loved one!

P.S. I have a Valentine Surprise for you, I’ve included my AMAZING TWO Step Strawberry Jam.  Processed jams are mostly flavored sugar water, this jam is mostly fruit with a little local honey or maple syrup and the taste will blow your mind. With your first bite, you’ll find yourself standing in a field full of strawberries with the sun on your face. Happy Valentine’s Day my friends.

3 Minute Brownies!

January 26, 2017
Raw, Paleo, Whole30
Serves 12 people
Equipment
Food processor
Prep time
3m

These little gems are so easy with just 3 ingredients! Once I get my ingredients out I can make them in 3 minutes. All whole foods, no processed flour, and they’re sweetened with dates. You can’t beat that. The raw almond butter from MaraNatha is very expensive but it gives these brownies the best flavor and I say if you’re going to put something in your mouth it should be of the highest quality. Plus, it’s organic, they support Save the Bees, it’s non-GMO and the only thing in the jar is almonds.

These will rock your treat world! They are so yummy and basically have three ingredients: oats, walnuts, and raisins with a dash of butter. This is one of my all-time favorite treats. Give them a try and let me know what you think.

Simple Healthy Icing

Whole foods ginger bread men.

Let the kids go crazy decorating with all natural ingredients! Making your own icing is easy peasy and tastes so much better. It’s light, sweet and creamy. But that’s not the only reason for making your own icing….

Here’s what’s in packaged icing:

Sugar, Palm Oil, High Maltose Corn Syrup, Water, Corn Starch, Canola Oil. Contains 2% or less of: Salt, Distilled Monoglycerides, Color (yellows 5 & 6 and other color added), Polysorbate 60, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Natural and Artificial Flavor, Citric Acid.

The things wrong with this list are too numerous to post, but if you have questions, just Google some of the ingredients.

Plus, you don’t need all of that when you can whip up homemade in just a few minutes. The cool thing about this recipe is that you’ll substitute powdered milk for powdered sugar!
